Workmanship Warranty

Tesla provides industry-leading warranties to ensure your solar panel system is producing energy for the long term. Tesla strives to provide you with the highest quality equipment, so we rigorously vet the suppliers we partner with.

Tesla provides a 25 year panel performance warranty and a 10 year workmanship warranty. The workmanship warranty ensures our installation workmanship will be free from defects for 10 years from the date your products are installed. Tesla warrants that all roof penetrations we make will be watertight for at least 10 years, or as specified within your contract.

Excellent guidance through the entire process and listened to my desired design.

The process of scoping the project was not a basic design thrown at me like other local solar installers. Tesla proposed a design and asked for feedback from me. We walked through the benefits of different solar panel layouts and battery backup combinations. This was all started before they came out and verified the plans. Again, this was FAR more comprehensive than a competing installer that only used digital surveys that did not tell the whole story of the property layout. The turn-key process and a dedicated project manager that I can contact to ask questions during the different phases was extremely smooth. They answered my questions easily. I specifically wanted a single company that had a vested interest in all parts of the system to work optimally. If I can make any suggestion, do ask about the planned location of conduit with the engineers and installers before AND while the installation is occurring so you can request less conspicuous paths. I didn't ask about conduit routes while the installation was progressing. When I compare the installation with the work of other companies performed in the neighborhood, I think the final product is more complete and meets a higher standard. It is meant to last. Other houses have wires between panels laying on the roof, which is a fire hazard and code violation. I opted for solar panels from Tesla instead of the integrated solar roof. This was a cost decision as well as the fact we had the roofing replaced only a few years ago and didn't make sense to change. Although the cost of this project was not insignificant, it was only a little more than other local installers. The benefit of knowing Tesla will be around for the long haul justified the additional cost.
